Policies

1. Please refer to the Privacy Statement on the Homepage of the site.

2. The site encourages free expression of thought, ideas, artworks, creative writing, photos etc. However, all submissions will be evaluated prior to posting to ensure that they meet site policies, privacy rules and the site vision.

3. Submissions of any type with slanderous, libelous insulting or derogatory language or images will not be accepted for publication on this site.

4. Users must respect differing opinions on subjects. Fair criticism and open dialogue is fine. In fact, it is encouraged. However personal attacks against any user or submissions will not be accepted.

5. Material protected by copyright cannot be posted on this site unless prior written permission from the author/creator is submitted to the editor at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

6. The site is a project of the Creative Cities - Neighbourhood Initiative of the City of London. The integrity of the project and that of the City of London must be maintained and reinforced. The site should encourage pride in the community and in the City of London.

7. As editor of The Northeastender.ca and recipient of the CCNI grant I will continue to follow the rules set out in the Creative City Neighbourhood Initiative (CCNI) website projects document I signed before beginning this project. The Vision and Policies above reflect the commitments I made in the CCNI application and the website project agreement.

8. Those who use the Classifieds section or the Photo Journal need to follow the same policies, vision and privacy rules that are written here.

9. One last word. Enjoy the site. Tell others about it and respect the integrity and hard work of those who took the time to put it together.

10. It is my personal goal that the site will mirror the very best of what Northeast London has to offer.
